Too much of a gamble to go 9" at this stage and potentially be left without a suitable tyre. Just making enquiries about delivery times, but think I'll go with the 8" and 225/45/15 combo for now.

Ive got a velocity red SE too. Currently running grey advanti storm 15x9s with 225/45/15 RS3's. You can currently get them at Jax for $185 a corner. Stoked is the word I would use to describe how happy I am with them. Maybe hang tight for a little, see if hankook bring in the rs4.

So, I've had a chat with Dann and he's sent me a quote for the work. The decision has been made to do the following:

Megasquirt Pro PnP ecu
640cc EV14 injectors
NitroDann Airbox and filter
Mac Valve for boost control
NitroDann full tune
Nitro Dann clutch upgrade
NitroDann catch can
Mazdaspeed engine mounts

Should compliment the existing mods and provide me a good base to get out to the track and have some fun.

The driver has over 30 years of experience in racing, including many different MX5s. Hopefully he can handle it

Would love to catch up somewhere and see how all yours turned out. I know nothing about the Megasquirt ecus, so have a lot of learning to do.

Any time, mate. Hopefully you wont have to do too much with the tuning though. There is a lot of information out there, but the learning curve is steep!

Talking to Dann will shorten the learning curve.

On mine, the 225s on 9s create a lot of self steering and crashiness which is much less when the 205s on 8s are on the car. It's a big difference on the road. Just sayin'.

I'm not really that interested (or have the time) to learn all the secrets of tuning the MS, but it would be handy to know the basics. I'd much prefer to have Dann set it all up so that I can spend more time driving it, and know the tune is safe.

I've decided to go with the 8" Advanti S1 wheels and have contacted Chris at MX5parts to place my pre order for the next delivery
