I couldn't capture a pic which properly represented the shear amount of mx5s there. Will have to wait for the drone shots by Mazda.

That's the most mx5s I've ever seen! Parade lap was fun and I ended up signing the millionth MX5 as well :-) all in all some good fun! Does anyone know what was the final number on the track?

Great to put names to faces. Rolley there is no video of when we started the parade lap :)

Having never been at Sandown, plus running with no brake booster was going to make or break the trip. Well a 1:30.408 makes me happy and the trip well worth it. Must thank Ross Malloy from SA for pushing me to get faster.

Will do a post in my build thread about the lack of brake booster and a first timers view of Sandown. As I said a few times, I' m so against boost I even deleted the brake booster :)

Hehehe I saw you using a bit of man power during the parade lap, Magpie. Bruce and I tried to find you to say hi, but we weren't allowed anywhere near the pits.

We were just too lazy to start the car again so Rolley and I pushed it the few meters.

Biggest surprise of the day was the number of Marinet Blue MX5's and one with similar color scheme to mine.

A bit of a bummer that the pits were closed but heard you calling me.

MattR so much more control of the brakes. There is so much more to gain in braking. Need to get better at the finer brake control but that is what 2017 is all about, driver mods!

Had a great day, nice to finally get to meet a few more forum members in person, I'll post some photos once I'm back in Perth. Massive thank you to everyone who made me feel so welcome and who offered cars and beds etc. Such a great community of people.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Deal! That last session was just so much fun, hope the spectators enjoyed it as much as we did.

I will find the clip of you breathing fire and smoke to try and get away.

Great fun day and an amazing turnout, can't wait to see Mazda Australia's photos and drone footage. Good to see Mazda support the faithful and it being returned with the turnout

Good to meet a few people and share a garage with Magpie and some SA guys whose name I forgot sorry.

Really enjoyed the track, properly fast. Glad I made the effort to get there before it disappears
