Did you not attend? It was brilliant, the suggestion was that there were 660 cars in the parade lap.
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

footage came up unavailable. One of the highlights was Kiijima San speaking in Japanese with interpreter- a sprightly Mazda car guy who we can thank for being part of the Hirai team who gave us this amazing little car. Kiijima said that people around the world had said to him that the MX-5 had changed their lives= obviously by taking them to another level of fun and camaraderie with enthusiasts sharing more than just driving around in transport.I dont think many engineers would get such an accolade and probably offset what must have been a very intense program which had a small budget.

Great cross section of cars and seeing them in such qty it really does emphasize the difference in profile of the vehicles. The RF looks very good in the flesh - top marks for its styling. Really good natured crowd of fans from what I could see and hear . Now did Greg take his standout yellow NC- maybe - there were a few of that colour there and some colours I had not seen. Well done for Mazda at Sandown which is being wound down after 50 years or so- it will be missed. PS signing the million NC was a slow process but guess there was not quick way and the coffee ran out early with apparently only one van in attendance-minor though in the scheme of it.

You should have said hullo Morlcck ! My car was parked at pole position.
I stayed until 3-ish when things were quieting down. There was no queue for signing the millionth car, I did consider signing it a second time.

I signed the car on my way out and there was no wait and plenty of spaces left! Coffee was a minor annoyance early in the day and they ended up with another coffee seller there later.
Given the enormity of the organising task they did an excellent job and I had a very enjoyable (and cheap)day out. Thanks to all involved.

Don't forget all the planning that the Mx-5 Club of Victoria & Tasmaina did as well as all the club volunteers who did a fantastic job on the day.

Was a great day and experience.
Needed an excuse to drive 2700km return from The Manning Valley.
Just back now. Great drive via Canberra, Cooma, Cann River, Morwell and back via Great Alpine Way.
As for lanky, definitely was the tallest one there, people were too polite to ask how I fit, but they certainly watched when I did.
6' 7" red tardis owner (spacious 89 NA8 clone) and cleaned up 92HZ SBY.

I was hunting around for an ND with Rota RBs to say thanks for the Renault tip-off. There were so many cars there I gave up after 30mins!
