happy new year, i hope the festive season was good for you and your families.
i thought i would put up some pics and a review of the NitroDann alloy washer bottle i purchased in the group buy last year and finally got around to fitting it last night to my NA8.
the Alloy washer bottle sits in the cowl in front of the windscreen on the drivers side.
the reason i purchased the alloy tank was because when i did the cowl intake i obviously had to relocate the washer bottle which i had attached to a temporary metal bracket in the engine bay. the plan was to get a Suzuki washer bottle as used in the NOPRO kit but as i am building a bit of retro/JDM themed roadster the alloy really appealed to me and looks much nicer than a clear piece of plastic. Also because i was going to just get the Suzuki bottle i would need to make brackets ect and Danns solution bolts straight up. Even if you don't have a cowl intake this gives a nice touch and cleans up the engine bay.
Dann sends you a plug and play wiring harness extension, a nice chrome with rubber seal lid, the alloy washer bottle of course and a NitroDann sticker!!! (plus 5rwhp right there!!!)

the first thing i noticed when opening the parcel was the quality of the welds, i wish i could tig weld like Dann.
There is certainly no lack of pride in the workmanship and i know it has been said before but Dann's work is superb and commendable especially considering these are a fairly low cost item. Well done Dann.
you need to remove the washer pump motor from your factory tank and the rubber seal and fit it to the alloy tank, it all went straight in and no leaks.
i then did a trial fit to see where everything lines up and can happily say everything lines up perfectly. one end of the tank has a bracket with a hole in it the other mounting point is a threaded insert welded to the tank.
the threaded end lines up with a hole in the fire wall that had a grommet in it that i removed, the other end lined up with a bolt that holds one of the air con line brackets.
the rubber grommet i removed i reused in one of the many factory holes on the frame rails.
for the threaded end i used a bolt, washer and spring washer. the other end with the bracket i used a longer bolt with a washer and a Nylock nut to hold everything tight.
i gave the tank a quick hand polish while out and machine polished the bolt heads for a nice little touch. dirty old bolts wouldn't look right with the shiny new tank.
one concern i had with Danns solution was the tank rubbing inside the cowl causing rattles, rubbing through the paint and rust starting. Dann was way ahead of me and the tank has thick adhesive foam to prevent this which for me showed that thought went into this and once firmly mounted the only movement in the tank is cowl flex.
i had to extend my washer lines so i got all brand new lines to replace all the old dirty ones. (not fitted yet)
i think it looks really good in the engine bay and with the bonnet closed you can get a small shiny glimpse of one of the welded edges through the bonnet gap, sought of hinting that something is going on under the bonnet.
so in short
Value- 5 stars.
build quality- 5 stars.
fitment- 5 stars.
looks- 5 star.
i highly recommend this part and no i dont get any kickbacks or have any financial interest in Danns business, just letting you guys know my experiences of this quality item.
i will put photos up under this post, one is by NitroDann showing the tanks. the other photos are mine and aren't the best as the car hasn't had a good detail and been sitting collecting dust a bit lately but also i don't want to show my engine bay till i update my build thread

cheers
