In preparation, I bent up some hangers to go into the stock NA6 locations. Welded 3 to the muffler and another on the mid pipe.

Then I received a call from mitre 10 advising that my threaded tap had arrived.
Picked it up and started to drill and tap my sump.

I wanted to fit it further back but with the engine still in the car I chose the easiest location that I could get my drill into nice and square.
I do have another sump that is tapped to clear the air con compressor. I'll be sure to fit that one when I eventually build the spare engine just in case I decide to refit the air con.
Fingers crossed that my flanges arrive tomorrow so I can weld them to my new cat and finish the exhaust.
Once that's done it's only the intercooler piping to be welded and a few hose clamps fitted along with a BOV and I should be able to start her up
