I'm taking my engine out to do the timing belt and fix oil leaks. Not such a big deal when the gearbox is already out anyway.
I realised that two of the four mounting brackets are missing from my engine stand! Any idea where I can buy them? Do they have a specific name other than "mounting bracket"? Because my ebay adventures have not turned up anything. I don't want to buy a whole new engine stand if I can avoid it.
What if I just use only two of the four brackets? Could the weight snap the bolts?
(picture included) Does anyone know where I can find an engine stand bracket?

Pretty much every industrial area in the country has small engineering, fabrication or boilermaking workshops that make up odd bits and pieces for farming, industry and construction by cutting, bending and welding bits of metal. If there's any value in the stand then I'd just take the stand to one of those places and get a new bracket made. If it was my local shop then I'd estimate they'd charge around $20-30 and, because it's the sort of thing they could easily fit in between larger jobs, they'd only take a day or two to do it.

As above, you're not likely to find the part on its own.
But it's also a really simple piece, so a shop could cut and weld you one up in 20mins or so.
If you attach he engine with only two it will likely hold if it's just sitting there, but will Bend the bolts etc, esp when you start doing work (I wouldn't be rotating it with only two holding either)

Another option if that's a Supercheap stand would be to give their customer support number a call.
They more than likely offer spares for them but I can't see it being any cheaper or faster than getting a couple of new ones made by a local shop.
If you do get them made it's a perfect time to go a bit custom too. I found with mine the motor sits so the rear main carrier is in a pain in the butt spot behind the fixing plate making it had to work on even when you drop it right down.
If you do some measurments and a bit of CAD (cardboard aided design) work you could get 4 new arms made or drill the plate and use dowels and just two legs specifically for the B6/P motors that sits the motor just right.

I am in the same camp as Manga and HKS. I would not even think about throwing away the engine stand it's so wasteful and looks easy to fix. Steel is easy to buy and some of the merchants will cut what you want but any fabricator / welder can do it or a mate with a welder. But ask before committing what is the cost.
