Last night during a maccas run, my car (99 NB) started making a starnge noise.
After driving around some empty streets at low speed, i'v found out it only happens in 1st & 2nd gear when accelerating between 1.75k rpm and 2.25k rpm.
Its like a scratching sound - and is coming from under the car - front end. I tried to get a recording of it, but its to feint to hear over the exhaust.
I don't really have much knowledge about cars so any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to figure out if it's mechanically related
Or frequency related. As in a rattle on an exsaust.
Good chance you may need to let it get a bit worse before you can pinpoint it.
