Just trolling eBay and spotted this auction: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BMW-E92-M3-Black-Nappa-Leather-Seats-Interior-Coupe/262710115762?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D39923%26meid%3D27a4cd986d7c415ea4f721b351368407%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D262740323672
It's a full BMW E92 M3 seat interior.
Those front seats look like they may have a chance of fitting in an NA/NB (you'd have to be REALLY creative to fit the rear seats though).
Has anyone tried to fit BMW 3-series seats into an MX5?
The usual issues with seat fitment are:
1. Seating too high
2. Too wide (lateral support too wide for seatbelt tower, seat-base too wide for transmission tunnel)
3. Can't fit seat rails
4. Too heavy
5. Don't fit driver's frame
6. Legality

If they're anything like other electric/heated/airbag seats they will weigh an absolute tonne.
Great seats, very comfy even though they are pretty firm, but visually too bulky for the 5 even if they do fit.
Z4M seats may be a better choice aesthetically.

E92 was a decently big car, the seats will be big too. I would think they would be too wide to fit between door and transmission tunnel, and I'd bet they'd sit you so you're looking straight at the windshield frame.
Maybe seats from an E30 would have a chance?

imo e92 seats are nothing super special either, and zero chance of them fitting.

If you were going to go to the trouble I'd be going for a set of Vaders from the E36 M3.
These are like sitting in a baseball glove.

Re: BMW E92 M3 Seats, could they fit?
I think "The Vaders" are Recaro seats which is what the Mazdaspeed reclinable seats are so they're likely to "just fit" - if you look at the rear of any Mazdaspeed seat that has been fitted in an NA/NB, you'll see depressions where it touches the top corner of the seatbelt tower.
The reclinable Mazdaspeed seats always reminded me of sitting in a baseball glove, they're comfy with great lateral support (something that the OEM NB seats sorely lack).
The thigh supports look exactly the same as the Mazdaspeed seats, too low for the track but high enough to make it more difficult getting in and out of it for DD.
