You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

That doesn't look too bad.
I've always thought that Sunlight Silver looks too light/bland and needs something to "lift it", like stripes:

Add matching stripes to Okibi's photo and that would look great IMO.
Too much "lift":

I think Titainium compliments Sunlight Silver really well. I've seen a Ti hard top on a few SS cars, and it looks great. Gotta be careful not to overdo the highlights though. I don't like any of Lokiel's striped cars, but do agree SS needs a little something to break it up, I quite like side/rocker stripes rather than over-body stripes.
Actually, I was wondering what the 911 R's scheme would look like on an NB. The body stripes are wider than usual, not quite at the edges of the bonnet, and it keeps the rocker stripes. At first I didn't much like it, but it's really grown on me, I wonder if an NB could pull it off? (I know, I'm a P-Car fanboi! I'm always using them for comparison)

93 clubman
well I suppose I should have been kicked in the a$$ in the first place for using a paint brush to paint the engine bay
anyway after quite a few hours that is now sorted out and looks far more presentable. although I did spray the complete boot
although not quite a perfect match as I had no paint code to go on it is still a lot better than hand painted artic white
which including the odd character style brush stroke
anyway I think I put probably 6 to 8 hours into correcting that mistake.
stripes
over the years I have not been afraid to add the odd stripe or two
so there appears to be a few variations compared to what I usually go for. the two tone silver idea looks interesting too...........so options in all direction
looks like I might be advertising soon for a set of oem small side skirts in any colour

I also like the 2 tone SS and titanium combo but maybe not as much as a unique colour like the lava.
Since you'd have to paunt the whole car anyways I think a special colour would be more worth while.

I think billy should do a burnout in both the SE and Lotus, and see which leaves the bigger 11s. And not even worry about painting

Re: billybunters - from a bmw z4 to a mx5 se
well ive been a bit busy with painting put aside and testing induction noise
I now have induction noise plus SUPERCHARGER WHINE
I also have more power
while fitting the cai to the lotus I decided I would also clean the maf with a maf cleaner as it appeared a bit dirty looking. this may have help wake it up a bit and on the very first test run it whines under power exactly the same as when I have no money to spend
so I think on a good day I will listen too and enjoy the high pitched whine BUT on a bad day I will wear my earplugs as the cabin is too tight to listen to two air fed whiners
or whatever!

Re: billybunters - from a bmw z4 to a mx5 se
I like that photo shop shot of the 2 tone silver and I could be lured in that direction. that way I could go back to the factory original paint finish plus add the titanium colour to just the add on body kit parts to improve the overall looks of the car.
now if I get desperate I could start on this idea while starting my saving campaign for a new motorbike as I have nothing better to do.
while thinking about this re-paint idea I might buy a lambs wool insert in black to see if I can soften the ride on my rear end in the lotus. plus the daughter is having trouble seeing over the steering wheel
my fault again
