Thanks billy, really appreciate the comments. Sounds like i haven't done too badly then. I'm not going to bother with trying to work the paint any further, it's more than good enough, well at least for now.
All up I spent maybe $200-300 in materials to paint the roof. And I have half a can left to paint the doors. And a collection of new tools. I'm sure a pro shop would have asked much more $$$.

Did you happen to get actual numbers on the weight difference? (Steel is typically about 2.5 times denser than aluminium. So a 10kg steel exhaust could be 4kg in Aluminium.)
