Well errr massive relief. That terrible noise was the metal backing plate.
She runs sooper smmoth smells clean ( once all the oil burned off the exsaust & engine)
It's still making a funny noise from 4000 upwards.might just take it easy. Could be lifters replaced in the wrong place? I'm pretty sure they went into the right places.or back into thier original places.

I've had a long day. I think I've also dialled the cams the wrong direction.

Water temp Guage sorted. Wrong wire. There is another wire which connects to the manifold. It has 2 wires.
Indicators . Flasher unit makes noise but no lights come on on the instrument panel nor outside

The VTeck noise seems cam related . It changes frequency depending on how I set it on the cam sprocket.

Are you using solid or hydro lifters?

If solid, I assume you checked the lash and shimmed them as needed?

If hydro, I assume you primed them before install?

I also assume you've checked AFR and you're not running lean at the higher revs? (Knock/detonation)

sounds almost like clutch bearing spinning. comes on depending how hard I press the the gas pedal. Usually from 4000 rpm if I press the clutch it kind of keeps spinning unil revs drop below 4000rpm.
Its kind of comming from the engine. then sometimes I feel it comes from the middle to rear exhaust.so Ive not really pushed it.

Usually get this when the clutch pedal is depressed, but I'm assuming that at the stage you're currently at with putting things back together, car is in neutral & you're just applying throttle.
As hks mentioned, did you happen to prime the HLAs with oil after you cleaned them & just before reinstall. Sounds like it could be a collapsed HLA/s.

collapsed HLA should be easy to spot.

Yeah, or press down on them to detect resistance & bounce back.

This is what it sounds like.
Image

Noise is coming from the exsaust side

Checked the cam tops in numerical order
Cam wheels are on correct
Moving timing on cam sprocket makes no difference
hLAs seem ok with visual inspection

If it turns out cam tops are the cause as in not the correct Oder do I need to get them rehoned?

Think you put up a picture instead of a video. That's all I see anyways.

Sound reminds me of a motor running a timing chain as opposed to a timing belt.

I got a video on my phone for a few seconds, then a heap of pop ups overtook and I had to reboot.
