Decided to do something exciting. 200k km service. timing belt water pump and all that nonsense.

I wont rehash over something that's well documented. Other than saying, count and mark the teeth between the two cam pulleys and the crank pulley. I didn't count the ones between the exhaust cam and crank pulley. made it a super fun time making sure I got them lined up again. Wasn't too bad though, one day job if you have all the tools ready.

Also over time have done all the filters and changed the gearbox oil as well.

More exciting things have happened.

Bought a hardtop. Yay. the interior noise is now ridiculous but the chassis rigidity improvement is definitely welcome.

window decided to jamb half way down. Pulled the doors apart to discover that the window cable was flapping about and jamming everything. so zip tied it out of the way, and we have working windows again. :D

So general running update.

Trying a new set up. No sway bars at all now. Rides a lot better and makes a lot more grip. changed my camber to 1.7° all the way around with 4° of castor.
Currently looking at putting a softer spring in the rear as with no front bar the front of the car is quite soft now.

Also the other day I had the front right caliper seize, was a stuck slider pin, ended up having to get a new one from the UK to put in.

Sounds very interesting. Gives truth to the claim Fully Adjustable Sway Bars
Always good to hear of innovative ways to soften the suspension for road, not track. work.
