If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Great day at Winton Motor Raceway on Melbourne Cup.
Great to meet fellow MX5IVERS there too!
Perfect weather. The new engine purred all day without skipping a beat...She pulled nicely with the new addition of the flywheel and clutch.
Sandown Raceway... see you on the 11th Dec!!

Hey all. Apolagies for dropping off the radar for awhile...
Since the last post of installing the torsen diff, I have just been getting in as much track time as possible and simply enjoying the car! I've had an awesome time from Sandown to Winton.
Also had an 8 hour driver training with Evolve driver training and instructed by the 2016 Australian GT cup champion Elliot!
Wow. How much fun is the MX5!? I tells ya...love sticking it up to the bigger HP cars in the groups
But the highlight so far has been strapping my 63yo Vietnamese mum in the passenger seat for her mothers day gift! She almost threw up bit it was smiles from ear to ear.
Dad in John's race built VK 5.0. Wow brought back memories for him when he owned the Valiant Charger in 1982.
Meeting afew fellow 5ivers during the meets have been pretty cool too. Shout out to those guys who have made an effort to stop by to sah hi...
So... car is in hibernation for the winter.
Mmm...What's brewing in my little shed you ask...?
Nothing yet besides the dirty 5 covered in dust after spinning it at turn 1 at Winton. abracadabra! Roof off. Backwards and into the sandtrap. Bahahaaa. Candid moments of joy and laughter I say... Love motorsports. It's my drug of choice.

Awesome to see you're getting out there and enjoying pushing your car on the track. Love that you are able to share the experience with your family.
