Surely that's in jest. The drift scene is all about pushing limits. This is a pretty standard practise. It's a worry on the street but these with 50psi (cold) won't fall off, simply allows a super ridged sidewall and ability to run baller rims without heaps of power. It also means you can drop the car lower and not hit stuff.

Insane build!

Where do you build your rims? Lookin at rebuilding mine and redoing the anodising on the lips, wondering if you could share any contacts or tips.

Cheers
Tony

Wheel lips/barrels
I use WhiteHorseIndustries, they own all of Simmons Wheels old dies and tooling, talk to Craig, you can download their Proforma in PDF, fill it in and email for a quote.
I've used brisbane metal spinners, don't want to go into details but very highly don't recommend them.

I use A Grade Anadising at Ormeau, $40 per outer

Happy to share info

The side bars are now done

Just need to finish the boxing in under the front legs and some dimple died gussets to hold the hardtop on and inplace.

Will be removing the dummy box and motor in the next few days to start the front end geometry, looking forward to that.

I just rang Whitehorse Industries as they're local. They can make you the biggest barrels you want.

Revive, I'm guessing you're in Sydney?

Nah I'm in Brisbane, if you talk to Craig tell him that "Brett from Brisbane" put you on to him

More roll cage gussets, this roof is never coming off, it's now welded on, placed studs in the factory mount holes and welded them to the cage and b pillar supports

B pillars welded and smoothed

Windscreen frame gussets

Rear window gusset

Also finished the mounts for the window nets, so plenty done of late

From what car is that arm/hub setup you're using in the rear?

The rear end uses Nissan s15 geometry, z32 300zx alloy knuckles and twin z32 callipers, ones for the handbrake, the front end is based of Nissan s13 silvia control arms and caster arms with AE86 struts, FD Rx7 callipers on Wilwood two piece rotors
