I just stumbled over another little wheel weight listing this morning. It's among the best I've seen for the serious JDM products.

Google translate works perfectly well on it.

Hmmmm. IJAK Southern Way S-05 are the lightest 15x7s in the list and I'd never heard of them.

I only knew Southern Ways made the Epsilon series of meshies.
Seems a bit weird that the 15x6.5 CE28N's are the same weight as the 15x5.5 Southern Ways, but the 15x7 CE28N's are heavier than the 15x7 Southern Ways.

Ever wondered how much the usable portion of tread on a 205/50R15 AD08R weighs?

Wonder no more!

Rims are 15x7.5" SSW's, same as speed.

Old tyre; this worn (~50,000kms):

Weighs this much:

New tyre; this worn (<200kms)

It's a full 1.3 kg heavier than my 195/50/15 ATR sports.

Cus, did you get a chance to weigh the wheel without a tyre? They are supposed to be around 5kg.

But so many grips! such traction! many corners! (the yoki's, not the rims)

I'm most amazed by the fact that there's 1.6kg difference between "new" and "bald" per tyre, I really didn't think it'd be that much!

The scales in my pictures I purchased purely for the purpose of weighing the wheels, but I didn't take them to melbourne to weigh the bare rims, because the mystery needs to continue a bit longer (ie; I forgot all about it) I'll be commuting about 150 km/day for the new job until they give me a company car, so I'll probably get a chance to weigh them again soon, third time lucky?

Sorry Cus, I was referring to the wheels posted by Code4. You must've just snuck in before my post.

Not as heavy as the 16's that came with the car. Got stock 15x6's on it atm.

It's that bloody Hume Freeway and it's boring corners! If the highway patrol weren't so adamant that 110 is "fast enough" I would have worn them out quicker, promise! :P
