Thanks for the welcome! Best quarter mile time last year was a 14.4. Since then I had Kris Osheim (serious Hydra guru) spend two days with the car on his dyno, and am anxiously awaiting another opportunity to get back on the drag strip. Mods are piling up, and include:
  • Flyin' Miata Downpipe, Midpipe, Exhaust
  • Hydra 2.7 ECU w/KO Racing tune
  • Deatschwerks 700cc Injectors
  • Turbosmart Manual Boost Controller
  • BEGi Cool Air Intake, Intercooler, Throttle Inlet
  • Forge Bypass Valve
  • FCM Elite Coilovers
  • Racing Beat 1.125" Tubular Front Sway Bar
  • Whiteline Endlinks
  • Enkei 15x8 PF01s (street/autocross) w/ Hankook 225/45 R-S3s
  • Enkei 15x6½ JS+Ms (strip) w/ BFGoodrich 225/50 g-Force T/A Drag Radials (rear) and Toyo 205/50 T1Rs (front)
  • Hard Dog HCHTDD Roll Bar
  • MiataRoadster Short Shift Kit
  • Audiovox Cruise Control
  • Sylfex AuxMod
  • VDO Boost Gauge
  • ScanGauge II w/BlendMount
  • Cocomats

Here's some shots of KONIG Dial-Ins (15x8 +25mm Offset). Previous wheels were 15x8 +36mm. That extra 11mm makes a difference. No more scraping against the coilovers when wheels are full locked. Pretty decent weight as well, 5.4KG.

Advans look great, Daffy.
Don't see to many of them on mx5s because not a lot of their stuff comes in 4x100.
How's the grip on the 225 section ad08r's?

Thanks mate! I ordered these ones via Maxime at rev9- yokohama make them to order, so the 4x100's are drilled prior to the paint job- they were more than what I wanted to pay by the time I got them (factoring import tax etc  ) but I cant fault the quality and looks of course (ultra light too, about 5kg). The ad08r's grip is brilliant- the problem childs power output was more than the 17x7's on potenza re002 could hold in second or beginning of 3rd, it still breaks some traction in 2nd with the yoko's but you really feel the diffrence now its holding so much more traction both in straight line and around the bends. (Heres hoping the driveline holds up now!!)- :P

Looks great. I was looking for a set of these on Yahoo auctions Japan for a while but could never find them in the right size and offset!

What offset did you end up with?

Its a 38 offset on these ones mate. They were almost a perfect fit too, very minimal guard roll required, I got tein's fitted, I hardened up the setting a touch- still hits slightly on big bumps, but no more than when I had the racinghearts running the softer setting

i can second that on the ad08s! The grip is really great. I floored mine in the wet around a corner the other day and the car just gripped. Mind you it is a stock motor with a pod, so nothing special here. But still, with my old Kuhmo KU27's i remember they used to be a bit taily when they were new if it was raining.

I think they are a great all rounder wet or dry. If you want to have confidence in your mx around corners, ad08's all the way!

Ive had time enough to have a quality run period with the neovas now- the grip in the the new tyres and bigger size rims has seen slip in the famous Jim Berry custom Race Clutch I had made up when the boost peaks  I had a deep and meaningful in person one one one for a few hours with the great man Jim the other day at Stanthorpe and we in the process of working a new frankinsten clutch seeing now I have awesome grip because of the AD08r tyres!!! I will be putting up a few "one after the other" posts and pics in the next couple of days in the garage chat section- :DIY:

The Tyres aren't my cup of tea. Planning to get some 205/45 or 50 series rs3's or similar

Hey mate, what type of wheels are they and did you buy them new? If so where from? I am looking for some 16" wheels and it is tough finding something I like.

I traded a guy for a set of my 15x8 wheels to get these. (I wanted a larger rolling diameter for the road). The day drag on the centre cap. That's all I know. With the low offset they are a tight fit. I have alot of camber (for the track) and they just Squeeze into the gaurds. You would struggle unless your gaurds are rolled
