Let me know how the Fidanza flywheel is! I'm running the same clutch as you but running a Competition Clutch "Ultralightweight" flywheel which supposedly weighs in at 4kgs. You'll love how quickly the revs pick up :)

Wow 10 months since my last post.

Not much has changed :) apart from the mileage.

I do have a ND gear knob in the car
A new set of ad08r's

That's about it.

I've also been offered a ridiculous amount of money for my tail lights. (Over $1k USD) good to see they are highly sought after in the world.

Sell the lights! You never knock back a good offer. They don't look that special (but I do own the coolest NA in the pool-iverse).
Put the funds towards a soooopercharger (actually, a turbo would be better. The outputs of the super' kits aren't that super).

Holidays are better than supercharger :) 2 months overseas was a better choice

I would go super as it probably wouldn't change the exhaust note as much and reggies sounds AWESOME!!.
Also I think the taillights make the back end of your car but hey I have an NA and never been a huge fan of the NC factory taillights.
I had a good drool at the monkey over your NC. Keep up the good work mate.

That's how you know you've got your car at a great stage in it's development!

I like the turbos on NA/NBs, but it seems the NC suits super chargers better IMO. From the sounds of it you probably wouldn't want to change the characteristics of the car too much, so again, super charger seems to fit better.

It's a beautiful car, best street NC around.

2017 Update

Fan Fest - Sandown.

Wow what a weekend! Nearly 2700km's and I'm home. Spent 4 days on the road and the Fan Fest on the Saturday

Day 1 - Sydney to Merimbula Google Map

A straight forward run down the highway, Swung though Albion Park to see OJA, I've spent many shifts working on it over the years when it was in service, then met up with Phill in his Black ND at Nowra Mazda for the epic trip down

The highlight of the day was the last 50km hugging the coast line as we pulled into Merimbula, Oh and the spearmint milk i got from Bodalla.

Day 2 – Merimbula to Lake Hume Google Map

This is where we got into some of the best roads in the country. Mt Darragah road and the Alpine Way were the standouts of the day. Contant left/right switchbacks for as long as you can see. Roads that you would struggle to do the speed limit on.
Phil tested the fuel tank on the ND and it saw us with a 2km distance to empty and not a fuel station in sight in Dalgety. We took my car to Berridale with the jerry can and 40 mins later we were back on the road.
We arrived at Lake Hume late in the afternoon to be gathered by the rest of the Road trippers from the NSW MX-5 Club.

Day 3 – Lake Hume to Melbourne Google Map

From two cars we went to five, as Garry, Tegan, Sean and Alan joined myself and Phill for this day
The original plan for this day was to go through Falls creek and along the Bogong High Plains Rd, but the Victorian weather had the best of us, with torrential rain we decided to cut the run shorter and get into Melb a bit quicker.
It was quite a scenic run especially travelling through where the Black Friday bushfires ravaged a few years ago.
But the standouts of this day was the hill climb out of Whitfield and the Reefton Spur run just out of Marysville. That was a High 5 moment when we all stepped out of the cars.

Fan Fest Day

The excitement had been building over the previous weeks as this day became closer. And wow it did not disappoint, Mazda hosted an awesome day! 650+ cars and plenty of activities to do. The RF and the 1,000,000th MX5 was there also, quite awesome to be able to sign my name on the history making car. The parade lap was something else, quite a spectacle seeing the main straight filled up with cars. Cant wait to see the drone footage.
Was also awesome to put some names to faces from the forum, the vibe of the day was electric!
