Black paint for hardtop

Postby Dehamsta » Wed Oct 05, 2016 9:51 am

Hi I have a first gen black hardtop with the textured black paint. It needs to be touched up in a few areas. Can anyone recommend a suitable satin black paint that would be appropriate?
Cheers

My bet is that you will struggle to get a touch up to work i.e. blending it in to not show out but worth a try for sure. the original paint will have faded. However the way to approach it is to go to a automotive paint supplier and ask them what to use- they might take a look at your car. There are plenty of spray pack automotive paints but matching is another thing.

I agree. Betcha it would have faded. But u could experiment by painting a small section and see if it matches?
