I do have an entire camping setup that fits in the car though.
Hiking tent, mattress, sleeping bag, pillow, butane stove, etc.
I started out with a 4-man palace tent, but putting it up without a second person was almost impossible, and it took up too much cargo space.
I still need to track down a little table and chair, sitting in the car you've been driving all day isn't quite as relaxing as you need it to be lol
Coupled with the wikicamps app set to tell me where free campsites are, life on the road was pretty good!
