We just fitted up the TEIN Flex Z kit - http://www.mx5parts.com.au/product/new-tein-flex-z-for-nd-mx5
and EDFC electronic damping controller
These are a fantastic addition and with the EDFC you have the ability to complete live changes to the settings to accommodate changes in road surface and conditions. You can save various settings so each driver can have their "default" setting ready to go when you start driving.
Fitting is very similar to the NC so they are very straightforward to do.

Re: ND WITH TEIN FLEX Z
Just a quick question in relation to removing the original shocks. Other than the top and bottom mounts do any other parts have to be removed? Disconnect sway bar? Upper or lower control arm?
I've got some Eibach springs and intend to do this my self if it's reasonably easy.
Thanks, Andrew.

Re: ND WITH TEIN FLEX Z
I'd be interested to know the difference in ride quality and performance gains in corners etc.
When I first drive the ND my initial impression was jeez it rolls a lot. Sticks to the road but plenty of body roll. Has this improved with the coilovers?

UNDERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. OVERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Since mx5parts hasn't replied to you yet, I will chime in.
For the fronts, just disconnect the swaybar endlink(s), and the ABS wire. Then, 3 upper nuts and 1 lower bolt to remove the shock itself.
For the rears, again disconnect the swaybar endlink(s), some of the carpets need to be removed, and there is a small plate that hides the upper nuts which can be removed, or you can reach around it with the right tools. Then, 2 upper nuts and 1 lower bolt to remove the shock itself.
It's very easy. You can remove the spring from the shock without a spring compressor if you're careful.

Re: ND WITH TEIN FLEX Z
Thanks, the big forum suggested removing the front upper control arms.

Shame on them for making up lies. That is not necessary at all.
I even made a video about it:
