ND with 17x7.5in Rota Rb's

Postby pcmx5 » Thu Aug 25, 2016 1:57 pm

My ND now has 17x7.5 et 45 (now with 4 ml spacers so effectively et 41) Rota Rb,s with Michelin Pilot Sports. These had minimal clearance on Caliper mounts so used the spacers.Would not fit 2 Ltr if it has bigger brakes.

Will get better photos later.

They really suit the car, I think mostly because they look very similar to the stockies.
Either way it looks nice with dark silver colours on both wheels and the body.
I think that lower profile tyres often exagerate wheel gap, any plans to go for a slightly lower ride height?

It had just come off the jack so may have been a bit higher than usual, but I agree and my Eibachs should be in next week and will lower it about .8 of an inch. tyres are 205/45 17.
I will post some more photos then.

Looking good Peter.
Really like the car colour too. Think it is my favourite ND colour :)

Thanks.I was always going to buy a white one and then saw this colour, found the demo at the right price and couldn't be happier with the colour.
I have had heaps of comments from people and the main one is that it looks classy! Obviously beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Pleased with the wheels and colour too,had t he Compomotives in silver, same design but bigger spokes, and having always disliked dark wheels find these a good compromise.
Looking forward to getting the Eibach's in as having dríven one fitted with them love the look and more importantly the ride handling.

Here is how it looked with the 17x7 ET 35 Compomotives on it,loved the look but too heavy.

Eibachs going on Thursday.

I like the Compomotives better, but the colour of the Rotas suits the car far more.
Surely the weight difference is negligible between them?

No , 18 Ilb for Rota's almost 28 for Compomotives and I could tell the difference after 200 metres!!

Believe me I had the new Compomotives sitting in the shed so would have loved to use them rather than purchasing new Rota's but the difference in ride and handling is marked.
If was going to use it as a dirt rally car the C's would have been perfect, widely respected competition wheels.

Peter,
The wheels look great. Really complement the car colour. Hopefully we'll catch up next week and I can check them out in person.
