Upgraded swaybars on an otherwise stock car...

Canvassing thoughts...

If you put upgraded both swaybars on an NC, but keep everything else stock and, further, had those sways on their softest setting for road use only, is it "really" worth it?

Or do the real benefits of upgrading the sways only start to emerge with better springs/shocks and generally more of a lowered car? Over to you folks out there... :NC:

Swaybars work by tieing both sides of the suspension together helping it resist roll (one side compressses and the other tries to extend/droop, Swaybars resist this)

If you're finding the current setup fine in regard to comfort, damping, etc and just feel it rolls too much sways alone should be a good choice.

Upgraded anti-sway bars are usually stiffer by a large margin compared to standard bars, so that even on the softest setting they will still be stiffer than the std ones.

O.P.. The beauty of having a car as a hobby is that you can do anything you like with it until you are happy. Not everyone has the same objective. What blows your hair back may not be for everyone, but you only have to please yourself.
Give a heavier sway bar a try. You can always take it off.
Never put the top up unless the storm has a name.

I highly recommend Whiteline sways set to soft at the front and mid at the rear - did this in 2009. Works a treat on the road and track. These sways and settings also work well with Tein Flex Z - added in 2016.

My understanding is that the adjustable end links are only really needed when the car is lowered, so that you can then adjust them so they swaybar maintains its correct geometry at the lower height.


If he car isn't lowered, the bars will still be at the correct angles, regardless of swaybar brand or size.
