So I accidentally set up a hardparking event at Indooroopilly this friday night (First Friday OTM) with the 'Roadster Nakama' crew on Facebook. There is about 30 people attending so far, should be a good night with a few new faces/mx5s to look at.

I know there are a few of us SPR guys that plan on branching off and going for a run up the mounts, pending weather, after the event (will be doing it in groups if more than just us few go up).

Details are as follows if you guys want to come say hi/change up the usual meeting spot for this one night? Dinner dates then drives rather than drives then coffee? :lol:

Where: Indooroopilly Junction (Hogs breath/bunnings)
When: Friday 6th of May @ 1900hrs
Food: There is sushi, a random cafe, maccas across the road and hogs breath upstairs. Also a coles if you feel like chips.

No pressure. Just felt bad once I realized the usual EOM guys changed up their plans to start doing SOM stuff again (a little birdy told me).

Unusual night; got held up by uber unskilled soobahroo, a few ricers deciding to park on the apex of a sharp corner (if only they had a brain cell or two to share between them and realise that wheels are "ROUND" so even if the engine is stuffed, the car has the ability to ROLL) :roll:

Just a heads up for anyone thinking about a run up there in the next week or so, there was a fatal up there just before 8 am Saturday morning (23/7). Odd thing it looks like it was on the Glorious side of the village 50 km/h zone.

As such I think we can pretty safely expect the usual knee jerk levels of speed and vehicle enforcement up there over the next couple of weeks. And whilst not suggesting this what the unfortunate person question involved was doing, don't speed in the village - it's just rude.
