3 inch custom race exhaust and dump pipe built by Dave at Chinderah Discount Mufflers
Custom cold air intake also built by Dave
Custom built PWR Intercooler 2.5 inch outlets, (Custom piping throughout)
The dyno at PITS reads about 10% under, I had a touch up tune done since- the car is currently sitting around the 370hp mark. A little left to go!

STM, I cannot praise the benifits of the e85 corn juice enough!! It solved a lot of issues and I can say that I will only use the 98 when I have to- the diffrence was amazing

Thats correct- the internals should handle a couple more psi of boost, but I want to look at putting in a bulletproof synchro gearbox before upping the power again. The timing is gone as far as we can take it now. I cant recall the torque numbers off the top of my head, but the standard SE box can sit on 60kmh in 6th without any dramas, thats with a lightened flywheel too! I'll dig up the torque numbers when I call into PITS later this week. Must say though at the power she's putting out now, my main priority is to get the wider rubber on, the poor old Racingheart 17x7's hold little traction in 2nd and a bit of 3rd (and that's with potenza RE002's)

How far do you get on a tank of e85?
200 km? Or do you get real serious mileage out of it?
I saw the other day $1.16 E85 vs $1.50 for 98
With that amount of difference and by the sounds of it it's worth the shitz & giggles

On the subject of E85 economy, a recent track day was 40ltrs/100km (5.8 mpg).
The fuel usage is not much better for normal road use using either E85 or 98, then again the car is NOT tuned for economy. If I want economy I ride the bike.

I was hoping to get some cams reground by clive cams also.
To spec like yours also -about 260-270 degree and I was hoping for 10mm lift.
Are you happy with yours? Do you think they would be ok for a high compression non turbo bp?

I'll let you know in a few weeks. Ive just sourced some 272/264 cams. 10/9mm lift
I expect idle to be very ordenary as my compression is standard (I think). It will perhaps be a few months before I get the compression sorted.
If you happen to be in Sydney over the next few months look me up.At this stage I'm not sure what the overlap will be just yet.
head shave will only be like $150 + head gasket and you have to to the work yourself.Then there is also the springs.....

Look at these from Competition Systems http://www.catcams.com/engines/engine-selection.aspx?SelectedManufacturer=14
They make a 292° with 13mm lift (NA) or a 264° with 11.25mm lift (boosted).
Consider anything over about 10mm turns the engine into an interference engine.

On the 1st tune with the Haltech, I was averaging about 350km out of a tank of e85, but thats driving (mostly) sedately. We found that she was running a bit lean, but we knew it would need a bit of fine tuning after such a big 1st tune. She's running a bit more rich now and the difference in response and the daily drive is great, i may have lost about 10 or 20k's per tank. When the angry foot goes down though, fuel economy is out the door!!
Datfreak and Alex, RE the cams- I'm running solid lifters, I also had a look at the compression in the past day which is now closer to 9:10 to 1 at the present. I cant say for sure how my cam specs will go with N/A BP's, but speaking to the the engineer Ben, who built my motor, says that Clive cams have done heaps of work with N/A BP motors they build for track work/club race cars. His advice was to give them a call so they can work out a solution with details of what your running. My cams cost $930 including delivery to the Gold Coast. (I still have my original SE cams for sale!!)
