MX5CQ Morgan Park Trackday 9/7/16

The MX-5 Club has been invited to attend a Porsche Car Club of Queensland (PCCQ) Trackday at Morgan Park, Warwick. The event is to be held on Saturday 9/7/16 and will be an all day event, with an early start. It's a great circuit and we will be doing Tracks E & K. K is open and fast, while E is great for nimble MX-5s. Those who attended in March had a great time.

This event is completely organised by PCCQ, including all payments etc. MX5CQ members who participate will have their results processed in the same way as a QR event, in the usual classes i.e. up to 20 points a start on each circuit.

Entries are now open. This is a CAMS event, so things run a little differently to our usual events. You need to inform yourself of the requirements. Please browse the links below.

Key facts:

First up, if you enter as a MX5CQ member, let me know at compsec@mx5clubqld.com.au This is an Interclub Challenge Event- places are limited to 120 competitors
Runs under CAMS and PCCQ Supplementary Regulations

Entries are now open. Enter only via the PCCQ Website (as Inter Club Challenge Member)
Entries close Thursday 7/7 or when fully subscribed
Entries are accepted in order of receipt
Limit of two drivers per car

Entry fee $160 per driver
Garage hire is optional at $40/garage (paid with entry)
MyLaps transponder required ($15 hire, on the day, paid to PCCQ)
You must be a member of a CAMS affiliated club such as MX5CQ
CAMS L2S or higher license required ($80-115)
CTP letter required for QLD registered vehicles

Your car will be scrutineered. Base requirements are a little higher than usual but nothing dramatic. Basically, if your car is roadworthy, you need only add fire extinguisher & blue battery triangle, identify your tow points if not obvious, and tape your battery +ve terminal

Drivers will be grouped according to expected lap times.
