So Dave are you going to go back to George with this information? Or possibly look into the consumer affairs complaints so that perhaps this sorry if thing doesn't happen to anyone else?

Hey Dave, RE dodgy operators. I well and truly empathise with you big fella! Dealing with those who talk the talk so to speak and leave you hurting in the hip pocket, and, (although as fun as it might be) fills you with the urge to do things to these muppets that would see you locked up for the natural term of your life. (Truth be told, I'm sure we ALL have been there at least once in our lifetime). I'm still new to this forum thing only having just put up my 1st ever posts on the turbo setup thread, but Dave I can share with you some long winded horror stories I have had from dealing with some butt sucking bottom dwellers when putting the "problem child" SE together. Your not alone buddy!
Fyi, I had Bosch 1000cc (BSS100) injectors put in mine, reasonably priced and so far seem to work well. Hang in there.

I'm not surprised about this at all. Injectors are pretty much hidden from view and if they work well enough and you don't know what to look for, the dodgy guy can pocket a lot of cash tax free since you won't question them.
It's really a case of buyer beware but at least these days we can easily research on the web before getting any work done and learn what to look for.

This sort of workmanship (lol) is what has motivated me to learn how to do most work on my house and car myself.
I am slower and the projects take longer BUT I know what has been done.
Became so tired of tradies and workshops invoicing for crap work with no care.

Agreed snowmotion, I have to take a leaf out of your book and learn myself up more on the spanner work!!
I know engines, how they work and what it takes to get more power out of them than what they were built with.
I can change oil and plugs,but aside from that, trying to understand it when having the real tech stuff explained to me, I just smile, nod and try not to say anything stupid.
Hell, I'm not an engineer or mechanic and I was apprehensive about bombarding someone like NitroDann with dumb questions pre build, I could only hope to God I don't get F****d over by those who are meant to be qualified to carry out work and charge you big $$$ to do so. Its frustrating as hell when it happens though and you loose a little more faith every time, especially when its something your meant to enjoy. Im lucky now I guess that I finally found a group trustworty pros that I now consider mates!

If the length of braided pipe you're using to upgrade the file system for E85 is too long do you:

A: Connect it up anyway and weave the excess cable in and out of various crevices and attach it with zip ties?

or

B: Shorten it so it runs in a straight line with no extra potentially floppy bits and drill and tap the chassis in order to properly attach it with P clamps and Loctite?

I've heard many stories of cars/engines/conversions taking years to build by workshops. so there is a chance doing it yourself is no slower than paying someone else.
