Re: Corey's NB Journal
Not too much has happened with them car in a while, I haven't been driving it because the wheels/tyre/suspension set up is all wrong and it isn't as enjoyable to drive how it is right now. I Installed some delrin door bushings which made a few creaks go away in the hardtop and a slightly better ride, maybe.
I have been contemplating flaring my car with some nice wide wheels, I love the look just a bit of a chicken.
Heres a render I did with a wing (can you spot the well known car I used in my renderings?)
Heres no wing
Ive got a lot of aero parts I have to finish also and a tonne of painting to do haha. Let me know if you guys think I should put some flares on.

Re: Corey's NB Journal
I can't tell which bits are real, are the bonnet vents real?
Please say yes.
With the wing and flares you'll be able to drive it for about 40mins before being defected. It does look fantastic, though.

Looks amazing. Personally I'm sick of driving super low cars but if you can put up with it along with any extra unwanted attention then go for it!

Nope, I will be doing them though so stay tuned for that Well I hope not, because I plan on doing all of this haha. Probably no wing for a street car, though and it will be at a respectable height.

I hate driving low cars, it pains me to hear any scraping. The car wont be low though, I plan to run a 225/50r15 or 245/45r15 when they come to Australia but possibly a 225/45r15 for the mean time. I have been talking with carbon miata and they said I can position the flares lower on the body to minimise wheel gap and keep a respectable height.

Re: Corey's NB Journal
Pretty keen on installing flares, but I'm not going to commit until I can afford to do paint, wheels & tyres all at once; so I just did another render in photoshop of what it would look like from the rear. Can anyone spot where I got the flares/wheel set up from?

Re: Corey's NB Journal
So WTAC prep has started! Pretty stressed about my flares arriving in time because I need to paint them and fit them. In the mean time I picked up a set of Lotus Elise seats (thanks Matt) which I'm in love with, It pretty well finishes off the interior for me.
I also did a more extreme bumper cut I'll show later, while I was down there I cleaned up my wheel wells, amazing what a bit of cleaning and paint can do.
I'm still working on the car every chance I get fixing up stuff I'm not happy with. I will update more soon.

Man I love those seats! I need to get mine installed. What brackets did they come with? Slide rail mounted?

They're custom rails made by MX5 mania I believe. Driver side slides but passenger is fixed; they're mounted about as low as possible. You will love them.

Looks good dude.
Are you finding the front bar holding up okay with the canards installed.. I.e at speed does the air pushing against them tend to seperate the bars joint/mount areas? Also can you notice any difference with respect to front grip?

Ah! You have my old seats now! They are great...I just wish I was a little bigger to fit into them a bit better.

They are so nice! I love them.
As per usual, WTAC was awesome, I go up every year for the 2 days, and put my car in the Show n' Shine. While the car wasn't really show ready, I still got to park it next to Stanleys beautiful blue NA. I will post some more photos from the event as they pop up.
