Hi Everyone,
So i wasn't planning on putting this up for about 12 months but......
After casually looking for around 18 months deciding on what model I liked the look of and enjoyed driving, asking many helpful people questions on here for nearly 12 months and reading as much as could I have become the proud owner of an NA8!!!
Actually this NA8 viewtopic.php?f=73&t=71233 which I got for a great price, from a very helpful member and although not cosmetically the best it has been well maintained mechanically by MX5 Mania. I have done around 700km in it so far and loving it!
I will start a build thread shortly and put as many pics in as possible for your viewing pleasure I just need to find a name that suits the car first .
I'm planning a retro/JDM restoration build for mostly road and the odd bit track work, think along the lines of the famous "sharka" miata. The car will be staying naturally aspirated but will see a set of cams, head work ect.
First things are to get the body fixed up as it has some minor damage (no structual) front and back so I will need to chase up some rear end parts and possibly a front bumper skin as well, then a major service of all fluids front to back, replacement of all hoses both cooling and vac. Then it will be on to a roll bar which i'm leaning towards the Mx5 plus tall boy at this stage. Obviously I will be ensuring that the "go for long time" rather than "go fast" additions are fitted first.
The car is just a toy for me and not a daily driver so i'm happy to take my time on things, do it right and just enjoy it.
I look forward to catching up with more of you in the future and hopefully being able to make some valuable contributions to this community.
Cheers Alex
Finally got one!!!

Yer the simple black and white always looks good and makes you easier to see which is a bonus.

Congratulations. I like NBs, but I like white so much I almost considered getting an NA just for the colour.

Re: Finally got one!!!
thanks everyone, I spent last night working on the hardtop which is black.
I adjusted the brackets as they were a little loose and rattly. I figured while there i will use some 303 on the vinyl roof liner to give it a birthday and that turned into cleaning the whole inside of the hardtop.
That then turned into cracking out the clay bar to do the outside of the top followed by using some Meguires ultimate restoration polish (i prefer auto glym) and I then finished it off with 2 coats of Meguires gold class wax.
The black is so deep and glossy it looks like you could swim in it!!
As i know everyone likes pics here is a link to some others that the previous owner sent me before i purchased it. These are more to show the body damage and the engine bay but will give you all more of an idea of what im working with plus who doesn't like pics http://imgur.com/a/kjm4a

Congrats Alex, if it has even half the attention your WRX had it will be a beauty to behold.
