Have you bled the abs pump? There is info out there on how to do it and from memory it requires you to jump the diagnostic connector in a certain way while bleeding the brakes. It pulses the servo (I think) to work air bubbles out of it as you push fluid through.

On my 2001 abs into 1999 car setup, I just ground the brown wire and foot on the brake pedal while you turn the key on to cycle the abs unit when i need to flush. Very easy.

The car is under a sherrifs sanction, and has suspended rego due to the guy that bought my old red car and drive around with my old plates on it. Need to go to court to clear it. So it is not unregistered as such.

I read you bleed the abs brakes as per normal without worrying about the pump. But I will certainly try it.

As to the rules, I didn't read them, and certainly should. I will logbook the car for sure. And might even start driving a different car soon.

you definitely need to bleed the pump too.
I used a power bleeder to bleed my calipers and lines, and the pedal was still just average after 3 goes.
Then cycled the abs pump and rebled once more and now it's rock solid and puts me though the windscreen at speed...

Well I have done the same, bled properly 3 times now. I will give it a go for sure. One of my pet hates is a dodgy brake pedal/feel. I end up driving past the apex.

Interested to see the outcome of this. I have a very similar problem in my SE. No amount of bleeding/cycling the pump has worked yet.

The pedal feels good straight after bleeding it. But by the time I jumped in to grid up it already felt low again. Without even driving it.

Sounds a bit different to my issue. Mine is fine on the street, but after just one session I've got no pedal but can still pull the car up. By the end of the day I feel like im putting a dent in the footwell, yet the car will still pull up. The engine sh*t itself not long after that so I haven't had a chance to try some other fixes. Spoke with a reputable brake shop and they think its heat related as the pedal stays long for a few days then comes back up not long after with me not touching anything. Also a pet hate of mine.

If anyone is interested, I might consider selling this car Later in the year. I want to do a couple more track days and see what kind of lap times it can do now that all the issues are sorted. And I would like to do the interstate challenge later in the year.
Can be put back to a normal road look in an arvo. I have a very good silver front bumper, boot, and bonnet. Once they are on, the spoilers are off, and some oem wheels bolted on. It looks like any other silver NB8B.

But it's even better as a track car... :)
