About 8 depending on the track and the weather.

If going you will need to take your own shade structures and ground mats. Accommodation is pretty easy to find but it books out quickly.

November - will attend
August - possible

I did 8 runs at each event last year, and plenty of time to find a good spot to spectate in between. That does not sound like a lot, but it's a hoot of a piece of road.

I could have done a ninth in July, but the red mist had descended and cars were starting to get bent, and I decided to sit it out.

So 8 over the whole weekend? How longs a sprint?

The sprints are very similar. The track lengths seem to be a bit longer, but similar number of competitors and amount of time to get through each run.

I joined the Qld Street Sprints Bookface page and lurked for a while. Noosa was the first of these events I attended, and I'm now trying to get to a few of them this year. Wondai is next - it's on a brand new surface and this is the first year it's been run and has just had CAMS approval for the track.

Then it's the Noosa event, followed by the Leyburn Sprints and then Pittsworth Sprints. I just missed the Oakey Sprints (next year :D )

Noosa is about 70 secs of driving, however there is lining up and if not road registered you wait at the top to drive back down when there are sufficient cars waiting at the top.

Road registered cars can drive through and exit on to the public roads (sans helmet) and drive back to the pits. There is a lot of waiting at these events.

So, just to clarify, was it 8-9 runs over EACH weekend in August and November, or 8-9 runs over each day, or 8-9 runs over the two weekends combined. I'm easily confused guys, sorry!
Cheers

Roughly 4 runs per day.

Friday - scrutineering
Saturday - finish scuiteneering and do 4 runs
Sunday - do 4 runs

Again it depends on weather etc, but you should expect about 4 runs per day.

No, some choose to do scrutiny on Friday, but it's not required. It's more a case of "if you can, please come Friday afternoon for scrutiny to save time on Saturday".

60 entries so far according to the CAMS event entry portal. There are no Mx5s entered yet, and two Rx7's are currently flying the Mazda flag.

Is any one else tempted?

Always tempted for Noosa, but no suitable cars at the moment in my garage and also will be in Indonesia again for work.

Hi All,

The Noosa Midyear Hillclimb is run and done and I came home with the car in one piece and with first place in the Modern Sports Cars 2000cc and over class. A 350z from Townsville put up quite a fight in some very wet conditions. Given a few more runs, I think he would have had better pace!
