Soft top bolt kit na8b

Postby cherrymx5 » Sun Apr 10, 2016 12:02 pm

Does anyone know what nuts and bolts are needed to re install the soft top? I have one but it came without any of the nuts and bolts.. I'd like to go to burnings and just buy them but I don't know which ones to get..

Thanks in advance

Skip Bunnings.
Go to your local fastener shop, they'll have everything you need and cost a quarter of the price.
I can't itemise this for you, mostly because I don't know what nuts and bolts you are referring to, but the mx5 uses M6x1.00 throughout the interior. Maybe some M8x1.25 for chunkier stuff.

The bolts are the three each side that hold the soft top frame on. Then all of the rain rail nuts.
I should have been more specific.

Can anyone recommend a fastener shop?

Cost less bolts, there's one in Ringwood and one in Moorabin. Despite having the same name and logo they are separate companies, ask them about it.
The one in Ringwood is my usual, but have been to the moorabin one as well and can recommend both.

Have to give a shout to the mx5 factory, called them to ask about the bolts and nuts and he provided the full set free of charge.. Legend
