Left my car with NitroDann a few weeks ago after riding in a very fast turbo mx5. Made a video of my day which includes a bit of tuning explanation from Dann himself. I'll post another one later when the work is finished if there's any interest.

Great work Sam and Dann.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Excellent video. Thanks very much Dann for that explaination, I'm sure it's a bit more involved than just that, but the explaination was well aimed at simpletons like me

I'm looking forward to Part 2!

Sam, you had the classic "Wow, this is what a turboed MX5 feels like!" goofy smile on your face the whole time you were in Ian's car.

As I said in billybunter's thread:

NitroDann make you "Big Happy Face"!

Gotta love Ian's look when you started talking about how much torque the stock motor has.

This did not go unnoticed!!! Haha

Great video, was awesome to see NitroDann himself on camera explaining some of the magic :) Hopefully this can save him some time typing up massive replies to everybody asking the same questions online too :P

Absolutely I did! I have dríven/been a passenger in quite a few choice performance cars and Ian's car was right up there in terms of performance :D

Will do! I keep changing things up but I think I'm happy with it now. For part two I'm thinking I'll start the video by doing a quick drive in an 09 cayman before I go and pick up my completed car just to compare the two. The point I'll be making is that you can have a very very good mx5 for a fraction of the cost of other performance focused cars.

Excited to be part of the community guys

This is the problem I keep having. I barely drive Apu now...only about 5000kms in the last two odd years.

Every now and then, I think about selling Apu.

Oh well...going back to Dann again in a few weeks.

So, drive her more!

Unless you need extra space for family or luggate, take the 5 out. Mine is a daily, so the lustre can wear off - I don't drop the top too much on the daily work commute, but Fridays it's top down! (weather permitting) And Fridays always feel good  Add in the occasional mountain run on weekends and I'm very happy.
