^ so less max power
Must have more midrange and I guess also higher ambient temp resulting in less power.
But like I said before, if you are happy that's all that matters

NA6 turbo - 140kw atw - not the most powerful but so much fun

Different dyno different day, it would be more power everywhere but not much because the charger is maxxed. The variance is just the dyno, tyre pressure, how hard its strapped etc.

Re: Wanting quicker acceleration NC with cosworth Supercharg
The official statement, re why my car made less power.
We had a lot of knock with the new pulley, so we had to pull timing back.
Only towards the end when he upped the octane a bit did it start to quiet
down some. We could try adding more timing back in now that the octane is
improved, but I'm not sure how much more it will be able to take. This
unfortunately is the problem with this stuff sometimes...we don't know which
car will do well with one over the other.
To me the car feels a lot quicker, but then I could be wrong.

As I said earlier:
Have you got a dashdaq or something to log knock in your car driving it ok the street?

Do you have a 3bar MAP installed and calibrated correctly?
If it's tuned properly with the new MAP you should be able to switch pulleys without a retune.

"Upped the octane" "now that the octane is improved"
Ron what the f#ck is the guy talking about?! You cannot increase or decrease octane rating via computer tuning because it has nothing to do with it.
Changing to Higher or lower octane means changing fuel.
He's saying he can change the octane rating of your fuel via ECU tuning.
If so then he should charge $5,000 per hour as he's the only person in the world who can do that.

Octane Booster was added, to petrol. Octane was not changed via tuning.
Both my mechanic and tuner in USA both said it was pinging its head off.
Regardless, the car feels quicker to me.

I feel like someone should just start building turbo NCs.

Do it!! Not sure how big the market is right now for it but with NC prices coming down it can only get bigger
A bigger supercharger can do the trick too.. This dyno graph come out of the states recently of a car using Danny's HKS supercharger kit on a 2.5, nearly 350hp from a supercharger seems pretty tasty

The hks one works cos it can be intercooled.
