Fixing various minor problems with my new 2006 NC

Side mirrors are intermittent
Seat belts dont retract
Radio left side main speaker is burnt out
Key FOB is completely stuffed, needs replacement, no keyless entry
It also thinks someone is sitting in the passengers seat all the time
Volume down and cancel on the steering wheel dont work

Side mirrors

1. Removed the door trim
2. Pulled out the switch mechanism

Previous owner must have spilt liquid all over the door
The copper in the switch was oxidizing
Pulled the switch apart, it was so rusted the spring broke
Cleaned it all up
Put everything back together

3. Enjoy playing with mirros for 2 minutes
4. Drive car

Seat belts

I cleaned them, they retract better but not as good as I'd like
I suspect that curved guide on the seat is not helping
I drove the car to see if itll help

Seat sensor,
For some reason it also thought someone was sitting in the passenger seat, I had to plug in the seat to shut up the warning
I pulled out the connector. Cleaned it. Plugged it back in
Now when I drive the car I dont need to plug in the seat belt

Pictures please!
I got some pioneer speakers for peanuts from jb hifi a couple of months ago.
Good job cleaning up the little electrical niggles. While they don't ruin the car ompletely they can definitely get on your nerves.
Started on the steering wheel controls yet?

JB hifi sell 8inch speakers that fit the doors of an NC? cool, what model

Pictures, errr, sorry I just do the work

Havent started on the steering wheel controls yet. Cruise control cancel is a bit annoying, volume down not so much.

I sent them an email and never got a reply. My drivers side one is a bit frayed and they have a burgundy belt to match my interior.

Fixed the steering wheel controls

Pulled the steering wheel and all the controls apart, tested everything, cleaned the contacts
Put everything back together and now all the buttons work

Chris, they get a lot of dust and grunge around the retractor and the guide into it.
You'll need to pull the panel behind the seats to get into them and clean em..but it worked for mine

I didn't clean the retractor part, but it works reasonably well now
