those carsales numbers are irrelevant, if you re check today there is now over 250 ND's for sale. I assure you there has not been a boatload of MX5's arrive yesterday more the fact the majority are generic ND ad's

To paraphrase my own earlier post:
Not many actual cars on carsales. Most of them are dummy ads.
There is no over-supply of any NDs.

UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

Coupe should have wider track, bigger brakes and turbo 2.0L engine. Badge it RX-7.
MX5 should stay convertible.

Another Porsche owner ordered an ND from me today rather than spend 3-4 times as much to get even a Boxster.

The other car I was considering was a Cayman GTS, but I went for a 1.5 ND instead.

Might I be so bold as to suggest that these two cars are poles apart?
Greg.
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

It's not bold at all, they are. The Cayman was a wonderful drive but just wasn't 5 times better or more fun than the MX-5. Maybe in a few years though...

I'm guessing his original Porsche hit the 100,000km mark, was leaking oil and required the A$30,000 "fix".
If he still owed money on the Porsche, spend that on the "fix" or selling it and buying a new car is a "no brainer".

Not everybody who likes cars and has the money to buy something exotic necessarily wants to do so. The "other" MX-5 forum has plenty of stories of Porsche and BMW M-car owners who have either traded their old cars for an ND or added the ND to their garage.
A friend of mine has a 1971 911 2.2 S which he has restored to immaculate condition. In the current market for classic cars it is probably worth north of $300k, but because the thing is so damn valuable, he hardly ever drives it.

Based on your over-use of emojis, 6 in just 2 posts, you seem to think you're the comedian here.
