184 Mazda MX-5 ND Cars For Sale in Australia the rush is over

My search gives 116 with 62 being manual? However that is more than ever.EDIT Just did a completly new search instead of my saved search and it did indeed come up with 184!!
SECOND EDIT,when you look at the 184 many are the Mazda NEW CAR ads that do not relate to an actual car but are descriptive and then direct you to a local dealer who in my experience will not have the car in stock,
Peter.

Most of the new car adds are for cars in stock . A dealer advertising wouldn't lie just to get you in the door would they

When I said it directs you to a dealer I should have said 'dealers" ,it lists a few that are near your postcode if you have logged on to CarSales so the cars probably don't exist.

a roadster / coupe is a clumsy description. I still find it odd that many publications refer to folding hard tops as metal and as far as I know the NC was plastic. The latter is more robust for impact than metal. We called the NC a PRHT and it converts a roadster into a coupe- I guess we all know that. I cannot see how it going to be more roomy- will be interested to see it. The folding hard top is pretty much a given as a requirement for continued success.

That looks like a direct competitor to the 86 (and bloody awesome) .

If Mazda produces this, Toyota will surely produce a convertible 86 in response.

Seems like a bad move for Mazda.

To compete with 86 it would need to be cheaper than ND convertible as it would have lost its USP (Unique Selling Proposition, aka the soft top).
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

That's a really good rendition of a hard top coupe (not PRHT). It could have been real, had the rear windows been given a better photoshop treatment.

Maybe this:

The invites, which have been sent out to all of the world motoring press, has them all abuzz. The consensus seems to be PRHT, with a hint of multiple Targa/ Full top down PRHT.

My guess is there will only be one design. It will be a little radical, just like the design of the ND. I think people will either like it straight off, or hate it, just like the ND's styling.

I just hope they stick to their guns and make it that we can retrofit it to our current cars, that will make me very happy!

Agreed. They'll have to make it $3K on road cheaper.

Although once this tin top actually does hit the market. Mazda will have done their first 12 month price drop.

When spending $30+ K would $3000 be a consideration to change brands :?

$500 can make a difference between sales of brands.

Ask someone that is changing brands. I fail to see that topic mentioned within what you quoted.

As I said the rush is over and all those 1.5s the 2 liter killed them off pretty quick
What you said was for NDs, the rush is over. You did not say 1.5s.

Which is why some may have questioned your original false statement.
