Red_Bullet I will have space in the car/trailer for a set of tyres.

Thanks for your offer Magpie regarding the transport of wheels, but I'm way over the wrong side of town to you, logistics would be too tricky.

Thought so. I do work in Milton/Valley and could bring the Amarok in if something could be arranged a few days before hand.

Hi all, nice to be apart of the MX5 community
I presume we will need a fire extinguisher fitted, but will we need a roll bar - I intend to have one fitted in the next 3 weeks. Pretty keen to see what my nb8 can do - esp as its now got a 4.3 torsen

Seems to say that a roll bar is not required if the car is road registered - although its the old CAMS round-robin of requirements;

Schedule A.8.
be fitted with a safety cage as required by Schedule J

Schedule J.3
3.2 SPEED AND MODERN REGULARITY EVENTS:
(a) Each 1st Category vehicle in a Speed or Modern
Regularity Event.
(b) State Championship and above level Speed Events
and Modern Regularity Events, other than:
(i) a vehicle of the 5th Category (unless otherwise
specified in the Historic Technical Regulations); or
(ii) a vehicle which is road registered.

Is my understanding of that correct?

For those who have not been to Morgan Park, this is from a SDT day on Layout E. SDT do not use K due to the speed you can get down the main straight. I do have some of layout G, however a chicane was put in on the front straight to slow vehicles down. The 'S' coming up onto the main straight is a little tricky to get right.

My line is Red Chris is Blue (Layout E). Obvious on T6 and T11

And here is the lap by Chris (the camera suction cap was a bit loose, adds to the sense of speed)

I'm going to cross enter this event with my dad, if I can get the car fixed in time. I sustained a little damage at Lakeside last week.

For those of us in Brisbane who need a license, just head down to the CAMS office at Milton. It's part of the Suncorp Stadium complex, at the Paddington end and there's parking at the front. The nice lady will help you with the form and it will take about 10 minutes.

Interesting.Heel & toe but no double declutching.
Left foot braking. What does that do? Is it like trail braking on a motorbike (causes turn in)?
