Help my ID my '97 NA8!

Postby Fraserisland » Wed Feb 17, 2016 2:59 pm

Hey guys, first post
This is my second mx5 bought about a week ago but need some help identifying what or if its some special edition as i havent seen the same interior combination with the entire dash being black with wood trim all round, onto the tan doors, and carpet.
Not sure if after market or not but the normal lights on the glove box are blocked, and has a roof light.
Any help would be appreciated :)
Cheers, Fraser

Never seen that trim on any other MX5, looks like an Aussie car, i don't think there were any special models with that colour combo in the NA8's ( i can only think of the 1.6 BBS model which came out in 93-94 with the red-tan colours)
MY07 NC, Mazdaspeed Body, Ohlins, Full GWR Exhaust, 17x9 RPF1's, 4.1FGR and lots lots more

Yes, I'm stumped too. Maybe a previous owner brought in trim from a Japanese NA6 or NA8 or even an Australian 93 NA6 LE? It's not a combination I've seen before. Nice looking car though. You do realize that an NA8 is the finest car made, ever?

^+1, yeah modded by PO, '96-'97 NA8 had Momo steering wheel, whereas this has the Nardi of the '93-95 NA8, except it has a wooden rim as opposed to the black leather of the '93-95 NA8.
