Doing it my way gives no restrictions to vision. All wheels are well below the line of sight and they're easily strapped in place so they won't slam you in an accident. I wouldn't even drive down the street with wheels piled high beside me.pepejesus wrote:manga_blue wrote:You can fit 4 205/50R15s on 15x7s in an NA but the NB boot can't hold the 4th one unless you fully deflate it and squash it.
In both an NA and an NB you can fit 4 fully inflated 225s inside the car without using the boot.
Pic for proof in an NB in my post above.

I suppose it comes down to the lining etc, but I can fit a 205/50/15 in the boot of my NB. It's a tight fit, but the boot lid does close without anything rubbing against the wheel or tyre.
I have an NB8A and can fit a 15" with 205-50-15 KU36 in the right side of the boot - also able to have numerous other items as well - I NEVER travel in that car without a full size spare and also the space saver is in its normal place - In difference that same spare will NOT fit in an NB8B - we tried

You can't fit a full-size inflated spare in the boot.
You need to be an Orangutan to get at the oil filter.
The 6 speed gearbox has a horrible change into 5th.
Other than that it is pretty well perfect.
Thats why IMO 8A > 8B

We used to have a standard 16" wheel which just fitted in the boot of our NB8B, but it severely restricted the ability to carry much else...and we removed the space saver as we didn't want the unnecessary additional weight. I agree with your thoughts about a full size spare, Roger.
This is slightly "off topic" as the original question really was about being able to carry four wheels in the car - and this appears to be already comprehensively answered.
