Finally... some ND wheels on NB

I can tell you the 911 Carerra 4GTS rides very well on country roads on the 20inch wheels.
Just had the opportunity to drive one for an hour in Germany on some suburban roads and it was a great drive.

But why the 21 at all ? You also ignored my point that Porsche put a much bigger brake package under the same 20 on the Turbo S. If you think they couldn't have put the 380mm package under a 19, you need to buy a tape measure.

If you want a 20->19 example, look at the Cayman S vs GTS. Same brakes, 19 on the S and 20 on the GTS. Dramatic drop on sidewall on the front, surely GTS owners would prefer the 19's ?

I did not ignore your point. I thought you had fact checked as per your minimum requirement of other posters.

If you yourself actually had fact checked. You would have know that the factory optioned ceramic brake kit are 410mm front and 390mm rear rotor sizes. These brakes need to fit into the stock wheel offered.

As for the 21s on the rears. Porsche would be the best bet for that answer. I would only speculate that the have attempted in increase the rolling diameter while keeping the tyre wall flex similar to the 20s.

Lets move on hey? Thread should be more about nice ND wheels than nice Porsche wheels.

Taminga / Greg- agree on the tyres we all need competent tyres on road cars and also know some guys who pay no heed to really old tyres on old cars. Good suspension makes a lot of sense provided it does not convert a good riding car to a buck board. When my car suspension does wear out I will seek advice on what to do and not result in an uncomfortable sports car. I am way past having my fillings or back beaten around by a good looking dray. I think PRR is also right- in the Queens English stuff the overpriced Porsches. I have a mate who has a really late model Porsche in the family but still prefers for the fun side to drive an NA which is more involving.
