Jaspers na6 - soon to be boosted

Postby jasper_na6 » Thu Jan 28, 2016 1:14 pm

Hey everyone,

Thought I would start a thread to keep track of all my mods and be able to get input from much more knowledgeable Miata owners than myself!

So I bought the car in June 2015 for cheap. I've dríven it to work every day since and the only issue I've had is one dead battery. It's been an awesome car so far.

I seem to have lost all the photos I took the day a bought it but here's a pic after 3 weeks of ownership and new soft top.

So far the plan is a megasquirtpnp and small garrett turbo, most likely a t25

Finally figure out how to post pictures properly haha

So my first mod was set of wheels my girlfriend surprised me with. They are Dynamic Steelies 15x8 +10 offset.

Then i had to decide on some sticky rubber. Unfortunately i was very limited with my budget so I ended up going with a set of Taiwanese Nankang Ns2-r's semi slicks in 195/50r15. I wasn't really sure if they'd be any good when I ordered them but I figured for $85 a tyre I couldn't really complain. Turns out they are actually really decent quality tyres, i haven't had a chance to test them at a track yet but for daily driving duties and the occasional twisty mountain road they are fantastic. The best thing about them is their amazing traction in the rain, I haven't managed to lose traction with them even once which used to be a big problem on the original crappy tyres.

And yes at the time I thought it was cool to randomly wrap everything haha
