I have done a skidpan day with
Driving Solutions and it was a worthwhile day out. Good variety of exercises, and they took time to go beyond the basics of over/understeer and encouraged power-over, lift-off and handbrake techniques.
I have previously organised two
Ian Luff Stage 2 days for the [http://forum.altezzaclub.org.au]Altezza Club[/url] when I was presiding there. The Ian Luff guys do a great job, particularly with car clubs. Many of our drivers hadn't done Advanced Driving, but since we booked it as a private group/function, they combined Stages 1 and 2 together. So, about an hour of classroom in the morning, and then skid pan and slalom exercises all day. All timed as well, which is a big bonus in a car-club situation. They basically run it like a gymkhana.
Of course, Ian Luff runs out of Oran Park, which closes in the middle of January. However Luffy is working closely with the committee behind the replacement site, which one person has told me will be a very similar track-layout to the current Oran Park (gawd i hope so).
The Ian Luff days also had a broader spread of theory coverage compared with Driving Solutions. So not just driver fatigue, braking modulation, DUI but also practical road craft such as how to set mirrors for no blind-spot.
I also hear good things about
Aaron McGills drive days. I've heard it said that he was a disgruntled former Ian Luff employee

He used to post his skid-pan days up on the
Auto Sports forums though, and after cancelling a bunch of days due to lack of interest, I haven't seen any posted up there for some time. Website says it's under construction though, so maybe he is still operating:

Can I just say also that the lack of interest in courses like these within car clubs is a bit of a soap-box of mine. I was much more competent from day 1 out on the track because I had taken some Advanced Driving courses. The training also made me a much more defensive driver on the roads. I cannot stress enough how good Advanced Driver training days are.
