NB8A and NB8B rack ends are the same IIRC. NA ones are different, as are manual steering rack ends. Primary difference is the thread on the mounting end.

thats what i was thinking, im de powering the nb rack, and i got some power steering rack end due to it being a power steering unit, however the rack end threads that go into the rack, are larger than my original ones,
eh, looks like ill haveto find some more :s

Re: Zabinskii's High Comp VVT Na6
so small update, things are going slowly, mostly waiting on parts, water pump timing belt cam gears head studs and a few other things
decided to do the itbs properly, Lathed up some dowel pins and im taking the itb plate to a cnc machine shop to get them to put alignment pin slots in the adapter plate so they line up properly,
funny thing, the two dowel pins on each of the throttle bodies have a tiny bit of a size difference, ones larger than the other
sneaky photo of my brothers turbo na6 in the backround.

Got the itb plate machined to allow alignment pins/ dowels, didn't cost too much but it's a good fit and I'll see how it works out

Loctite to hold them into the block, then flanged nuts on the water pump.
They're old intake manifold studs if you were wondering.

Great idea in theory... But unless you cut them right back, they will probably foul the timing belt

also, may have ordered 100 lash caps that may be up for sale soon, 6mm so they fit on the valve stem and min thickness of 2.25mm and max 3.95,
so if anyone wants any i have some spares, ill probably keep 32 of the 100 so

Re: Zabinskii's High Comp VVT Na6
been a while since i touched this, but ive been busy,
engine is fully assembled ready to drop in, slight interference motor if i snap a belt :s but vvt has full range of motion without interfering
but the rest of the car has a fair way to go,
over the past 3 days ive dug in and started on stripping the car and removing the old loom, was a fun venture, pleasant suprise to find no rust on an import, however the old owner use to race the thing in japan, had harness eyelets everywhere and the cage had a weird japanese scrutineer sticker on itm, or so i think thats what it was.
car on day 1:
day 2:
Day 3: stripping all paint from the engine bay and going to prep it for painting in the next few days,
hopefully priming it this weekend
mainly stripping the engine bay as some surface rust was appearing where the bolts and stuff mounted into the chassis, going to rust proof it all
