What to use to rejuvinate 10 year old cutting compound?

Postby davekmoore » Thu Jan 07, 2016 9:22 pm

Well the Australian climate finally killed my 10 year old T Cut. Or, at least, made it turn into jelly.

So what can I use to turn it back into something more liquid?

No comments needed about just buying a new bottle thanks. I could work that one out myself.

Put water into the container and give it a good stir.

Did a Meguiars tech night and they used this on my car
http://www.meguiars.com.au/dual-action- ... on-system/

The results were quite amazing.
You might have to buy direct as apparently it's not available in outlets
Reggie, Guy, Gary N and others have used it ans swear by it!

I would bin it. It might scratch up your paint rather than making it look better.

it dries out again but ok for the time you mix it.

Your opinion - Meguiars is the best product around - just read the instructions

I've used it for over 20 years and it keeps my cars magnificent regardless of what colour the car is, two of which brought better than double Red Book price when I sold each of them at 9yo and both were red

BTW the 'instructions' are what most would call 'the small print' on the reverse side
