Organised a cruise with a few friends and it turned out to be a lot more people than expected! Was a good day, utilising mostly windy roads and hills.

Here's a shot of me rolling into the carpark

Jesse's NA6 from the south

Postby Jessegroves » Sat Nov 14, 2015 12:54 pm

I Installed a Garage Vary front lip the other day, was a little awkward but after a while of lying on the floor and a bit of elbow grease to get the screw to line up, the lip fit in and i think it makes quite a nice difference to the front!

Had a bit of an accident into work today..

Fan power switch went out causing my fans not to work so the coolant wasn't getting cooled and just returned to the tank boiling and spilling out

https://vimeo.com/145698718

As you can see it was making a bit of a scene ( this was with the engine off)

I was at last an hour away from home so I had a guy come out and diagnose the problem and was able to fix it within the hour :-)

I'm glad the problem wasn't bigger, Ive just joined the RAA, hopefully it won't cost me as much next time...

Keep it coming! Always good to see how others are enjoying their MX, and your's is coming along nicely. It can feel at times like no one is reading or interested, but the "views" column shows that many are

Car is looking great Jesse. Be sure to get along to the informal cruises that get put together every so often. Being the beginning of summer, expect them alot more frequently. Jump on the MX5 club of SA page on facebook to see them if you already aren't.

Car looks great! Nothing better than a shiny red mx5...well maybe a shiny yellow one :P

Don't worry. Everyone reads but rarely posts on build threads unless to add something significant or a question. I thought a similar thing a few months ago.

This was just the best Christmas present of all!

Defected for being too low :(
Was heading out for some Boxing Day deals on town and on the way back It all happened
So I guess it's back to stock height for now.. Have to get rid of my beloved hayashis as they poke out about 40mil from the guards unless it's lowered like it was.

Have to put the factory daisy wheels to get through regency

After that, I'm looking for some 15x8 or there abouts to throw on, if anyone has any wheels their willing to sell, I'm interested!

Gonna miss the way it used to be :(

Oh well, onwards and upwards! Maybe look into some rpf1's or similar? You could lop a pretty hefy chunk of weight off each corner if you go for something in 14x7 :)
That might take the sting out of having to change wheels.

What's the kind of offset you guys reccomnend without being too far in or too far out in relation to the guards? offset numbers always seem to confuse me :)

The 14x7 +19 rpf1's are perfect to my eyes.
Technically illegal in vic on an na6 since track is increased too much, but it looks like they were made for the mx5 (there were, actually) so the po wouldn't look twice at them.

The good thing about mx5s is there's so many of them, if you want to see what a particular wheel looks like on your car your only a Google search away :)
