Thanks for the feedback on my feedback haha...

A couple of things I've forgotten to mention are:

- Timeframes: I think that the small amount of time that the whole process took should not be understated. I've heard of many aftermarket turbo stories that go for months. This was done in a matter of weeks;
- Stability: the tune is safe even for a stock motor (no incidents reported). However, people need to be realistic about heat related issues. Some stock mx5 already exhibit heat related issues on hot days in our gorgeous country so bolting on a turbo and asking it to make double or triple the amount of stock power is not going to help that issue. If you want to drive this kind of car on that kind of day, you need to invest in some additional cooling modifications;
- Drivability: I've already described how manageable and useable the power is but I want be clear that the results were achieved through a combination of modifications namely Haltech a Elite, NitroDann's full 3" exhaust and an already reliable pairing of motor and turbo. I would think that you get what you pay for so you shouldn't expext Dann to work miracles if you bring him a set of mismatched parts;

That's it I think. If I get better by the end of Jan, I'll take Diablo put on a couple of club runs and people who are interested in going down this route can come for a ride / drive (depending on whether my insurance would cover your age group).

Truth! Took me 2 weeks to do my first stage turbo on mine. Now it's been 8 months off the road for another simple upgrade and it's just completely blown out. Unless it's coming off a running car and you put every piece required off the original car it'll all take longer. I'm just excited to see my stuff from dan when it's finished shortly!!

I've quickly worked out its always best to take a working car to a workshop(dan) and let them do everything and then give them $$!

Don't get me wrong I love diy. It makes this slightly financially possible to play cars but after wasting many dollars making stuff than having to pay someone to make it better it would've cost the same and taken 1/2 the time. A daily drive and a big build like this or yours just doesn't work on diy. It sucks the most when you're let down by people who cannot tune/incompetent and then argue a higher than originally quoted, or those who do shonky work and take no responsibility for it. Or scratch your car while at the shop. That's why I like diy. Cause I avoid some of those issues.
