Look in the boot underneath the area where the cap is and it's probably the cable came loose or off the mount so it's not pulling on the release nub.
I'm not sure if it's on NB's but if you look and feel where the cable mounts, there is also a lever so you can use your finger to pull on it to release the cap.

The black thing sticking out the bottom is the release lever, the metal bit on the right is the cable mount

I checked today. Actually my lid does unlock just fine with this button here, which you showed me.

There was just no spring action to push it up.
I looked up some stock fuel lid pictures and I think they have a little metal clip at the back acting as the spring. However, with the SP and most other Chrome aftermarket lid I think, there is no such metal clip. There is a push up button instead, which is stuck.

I lubed it, but did not help. I eventually found a solution by installed a cable tie. Now it OPENS.

I so agree. Cable ties rock.

Tom, your SP number is under the bottom half of the carbon air box and it looks like they scratched it in with a air pencil.
Some are on the ECU's as well but mine wasn't.
Car looks great with the standard rims :D :D

I especially like the seats. Also appreciate all the effort you go to document the changes. Makes my commute to work fly by :)

Electronic boost set up and tuned

Postby tomli123001 » Mon Dec 21, 2015 7:43 pm

Been to Chiptorque finally before Xmas. The car is now tuned to produce 152kw at wheel with their NB ECU chip replacement and an added electronic boost controller and some Dyno time.

Image

Boost was set to 12PSI, the max you can run on the stock NB8B 10.5:1 compression engine. However, the turbo is still not maxed out. To make similar power, my SE needed much higher boost at 15 PSI.

No more simple direct hose between the manifold and the turbo actuator.

Regards Umbrella towing. I would sue him through the Magistrates Court. Fill in a bunch of forms, pay a hefty fee, pay someone to serve the Notice on him, he won't/can't respond, send the Sheriff to extract it out of him.
If you can't be bothered, you can always let him get away with it.
