That watermark makes it look like it's perpetually losing a wheel, lol.

I think I have now realised what the spoiler reminds me of.

Those ears would create a lot of drag.

That's what I think every time I see it - an unfortunate design choice to use on car action photos.

There are intrusive watermarks, and there are watermarks that make the car look broken lol.

The new rotors are wanting to do there own thing. Will have to look into options.

I checked them after the first session and noticed the cracks. The rotor is also warped, you can see the surface on the rotor how it's uneven.
I need to find out if the hat is a standard size bolt pattern. Then I can find some thicker rotors, and space the caliper to suit.
Beavis read up online and a lot of people are happy with these brakes. I am not impress at all. They didn't even last half a day.
Phillip Island is not that hard on brakes compared to other tracks. it only has 2 major braking points with plenty of cool down between.

The SE transformation continues with the SE headlight conversion.

Might that be contributing to the problem? And if you are running brake ducting that would add to the cool-down between those two big stops. Pads?

IIRC you were a participant in the earlier thread about cracking and fastener torques, so I guess that is not a contributor here.

I would be surprised if it was simply the rotors, I would guess that lots of people use those rotors at that circuit without problems. As the circuit is a 'local' for you blokes down there, there must be some useful chatter amongst the regulars about brakes and what works and what doesn't.

As I use those rotors too, I am interested in others' experiences with them so please keep us posted on developments.

Haven't had chance to put brake ducts on as yet. Pads are DTC60. In Victoria there are not many fast MX5's. So nobody to turn to, except the Boaks.

and I seem to remember their recommendation was the 286mm Yellowspeeds because they were thicker.
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

Yellow speed was mentioned. Will try one more time with another rotor, maybe it was a bad batch.

Not the best driving. But the video shows how easily the car did a 1:47.1

With some grip and nice driving it should get into the 1:44's next time. I don't really like it when the back end lets go coming onto the straight. There is a small correction in this video. But on a couple of laps, it was a lot more. Does not give you much confidence to push harder.
