The Fiat 124 Spider Abarth will most likely be powered by the same 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine as that found in the normal 124, likely with a larger turbo and other internal parts modified for better performance and a higher top-speed.

Once you look at the styling of the earlier Fiat 124 (which I happen to like)...

the MX5 based interpretation makes sense, to me at least. If there wasn't too much of a difference in price between it and the MX5 (2 litre, to be fair) I'd choose the Fiat. It's all academic, of course, as I'll probably never be able to afford one - although a used one, down the road, might be a contender :idea:

Euro voters are always gonna vote euro car. Euro drivers are still very anti Jap car as a whole.

LiteisRite - Yeah it's a great modern interpretation isn't it.
If you like the original 124 Spider then you're going to like the new one.
If you think the original was crap then....etc.

Only sealed beam headlights of certain standard sizes were allowed in the USA prior to about 1985. round or rectangular. They couldn't be covered either.
