Re: illisha na8 montego blue !
Can confirm, after another 200 odd kms of driving, these tyres really make you feel secure in the rain. Anyone considering these, do not hesitate!
In other news, the Fujitsubo catback is no more. After about 6 months ownership, I found myself wanting more feedback, in the form of noise or just something else. Introducing the car make corns catback ! I thought the legalis R was lightweight, but this exhaust is just stupid light (I didn't get around to weighing it but the internet says its around 6kg). It has a nice burbly sound at low revs and is quiet when you want it to be, and when you put your foot down it really sings, giving a warm fuzzy feeling !
More to come !

Re: illisha na8 montego blue !
Can you guess what this is?
Rather than having a full spec JDM mx5, I wanted to add a bit of diversity for my car. So in case you haven't figured it out, its a Loch stewart intake made by the man himself Loch Stewart who has unfortunately passed away. I believe it was one of the first parts available when the mx5 was released. Due to the rarity and history, I just had to find one myself ! Great design with the clips that make the job of cleaning to be a joy.

Those GV rear panels are so nice, they really suit the car. I'm bummed the NB ones don't look as good, or include a reverse lamp.
Looking forward to the rest of your updates. I've always like Montego Blue cars.

Thanks mate, I agree! It definitely suits the NA more, perhaps because of the fact that it includes a rear panel so it looks alot more integrated. That’s not to say it can’t look nice on an NB, here’s one of my favourites where I feel it was executed quite well http://www.speedhunters.com/2014/05/car ... zda-miata/

Will upload some engine bay pics soon, just waiting on my Beatrush Cooling panel to come in so it looks a little neater for when I take a photo . The interior does admittedly need alot of work(it's near stock) and hopefully I can give it some attention this year.

Re: illisha na8 montego blue !
Small update. I've changed the bumper from stock to an S2 Racing Bumper. This is all temporary but figured it would be nice to see how the car looks with a different front end and also because my stock front end had some decent scratches. The s2 bumper certainly adds more aggressiveness with the integrated front lip.

Re: illisha na8 montego blue !
Also managed to acquire a very rare item, RS Active Type 2 headlights! These may be possibly be the only set in Australia! Very low profile but more importantly, the shrouds they come with is what makes them stand out. Will need to look at some effective H3 bulbs as they’re said to have poor light output.
The lenses were in great condition although there was some surface rust on the headlights that I wanted to brush up before installing them on my car, even though it won’t be noticeable once on the car. Picked up some different grades of sandpaper grit from Bunnings and got to work before respraying with some paint. Next step will be to get the shrouds repainted professionally in satin black.
